Fossil Coast Gin founder to take part in the 2021 Run Jurassic Ultra Marathon

Updated: May 9, 2021

Later this year on the 25th September 2021 the official Jurassic Coast Running Festival in association with the Jurassic Coast Trust will take place to help raise awareness, educate and provide resources about the importance of looking after our coastline. Yes I have entered (JustGiving Page).

The 50km ultramarathon starts at 8am in Lulworth heading along Dorset's spectacular coast coastline through Durdle Door, Osmington Mills, Weymouth Bay, Abbotsbury and Burton Bradstock.

This event will combine some steep climbs, sharp descents and the most amazing views. The cut-off time for the ultramarathon is 8 hours (15 minute/mile pace) with a halfway cut-off at noon, and the Lovestation™ (sponsored by Purbeck Brewery) cut-off at 2.30pm.

Water stations will be evenly placed approximately every 5 miles apart. Each runner shall carry some essential kit including a charged mobile phone with the race HQ number (07930 335746) stored to call us if you have any difficulties; as well as a Small first aid kit, water and weather appropriate clothing, sun cream and waterproofs.

The reward to taking part all finishers shall receive a medal and a selection of local Dorset food and drink.
