Updated: Oct 18, 2022

Gin is today available in a variety of styles, each with its own distinct character that intends to make the most of its particular flavour profile.

From the classical times of ancient Greece to the modern-day gin has evolved into a number of different styles determined by the quality of the juniper berries used, and the way in which gin is distilled and crafted with a choice of organic botanicals.

Gin is today available in a variety of styles, each with its own distinct character that intends to make the most of its particular flavour profile.

In the European Union, the minimum bottled alcohol strength for gin, distilled gin and London gin is 37.5% ABV (alcohol by volume). In the United States, gin is defined as an alcoholic beverage of no less than 40% ABV. Some gin styles are themselves stylistic and may not necessarily meet the legitimate requirements or production of gin.
